Photographic sculptor Mary Van Cline combines black-and-white images with pâte de verre elements in her narrative art. Her inventive process combines glass techniques, cast elements, and photosensitized glass in one piece. She also developed, with Kodak, a method for infusing images into safety glass for use in architectural applications.
