He currently makes glass sculpture,

runs a studio, teaches, and is Chairman of the Glass Department at

the Osaka University of the Arts in Japan. Yamano is involved with

product distribution to customers in the United States and around

the world, and he has learned to cope with external economic shocks

and their impact on his studio and artwork.
