When Naval Lieutenant Commander Ingrid Parrington discovered Islamic geometric art while in Abu Dhabi, she knew that she wanted to create the designs like those in glass. Building the patterns on a blank sheet of paper, which can take weeks or months, rather than just repeating patterns over and over on a computer is the main part of Parrington’s process.
