Born on the island of Murano, Italy, Lucio Bubacco has been flameworking glass since he was a boy, beginning with small animals and beads. His large freestanding sculptures, worked hot and annealed during the process, are unique in lampworking. The epitome of detailed elaboration and narrative content, his work can be seen in collections worldwide.
