Conceived by Ruffner, the exhibition engages viewers’ curiosity as they navigate the displays.

The Glass Art Society 2018 Award Recipients

Each year the Glass Art Society (GAS) acknowledges individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development of the glass arts worldwide. The 2018 Awards will be presented at the organization’s May conference in Murano, Italy to Livio Seguso, Benjamin P. Moore, and Durk Valkema. Pino Signoretto will be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award posthumously.

Celebrating 150 Years of Glassmaking in Corning

In May 2018, The Corning Museum of Glass will launch GlassBarge, a floating mobile glassblowing studio, along New York State waterways. Generous funding from several New York State organizations will support the launch of GlassBarge in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the canal journey to bring glassmaking to Corning.
