The city of Denizli is host to the International Denizli Glass Biennale, which has been running since 2011 under the direction of Karma Design Studio founders Omur and Fatih Duruerk Karma. Their philosophy for the Biennale is to teach glass to nonglass professionals and enlighten them to its potential as a medium for self-expression while developing and empowering the glass art movement in Turkey.
