Angus Powers has been building updraft wood-fired, Roman-style, primitive furnaces since his masters studies at Tyler School of Art. A graduate class that focused on ancient techniques inspired him to investigate and create core formed glass vessels that predate the process of blowing glass using this ancient technique.
